Call for library and information science research proposals from South Asia.

Greetings from Emerald!

Emerald is delighted to offer a research grant for a proposal in the field of library and information science research.

There will be one award of £2,000 for the winning research proposal, to fund or part-fund these projects. In addition to the research fund, it is also expected that the findings of the research will be submitted for publication (subject to review) in one of Emerald's many excellent library and information studies titles.

Eligibility
  • Each proposal must be submitted using the online application form
  • The corresponding author of the research team should be based in any of the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka
Proposal Format
  • The proposal should not exceed the 2,000-word limit
  • Tables, figures, appendices and reference lists, if provided, do NOT count towards the 2,000 word limit
Proposals will be rejected if
  • Your personal information (author name(s), affiliation, email ID, etc.) will be captured via the online application form on the submission page. Therefore, please DO NOT include personal information in the proposal document. To support double blind-peer review process that we follow, proposals uploaded with personal information will be rejected automatically
  • Do not include a cover letter
  • Submissions that are incomplete or exceed the word limit will be disqualified
