Two-Day International Conference on "Building Information Resilient Society in the Changing Information Ecosystem" scheduled for March 27-28, 2024. The conference is jointly organized by the University of Calcutta and the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata, India.

In the current era of techno-globalization, information plays a pivotal role in connecting people, fostering understanding, and empowering individuals. The conference aims to explore the dynamics of information ecosystems, emphasizing their resilience in the face of challenges and crises. The rapidly evolving landscape of the information ecosystem requires adaptive communities, and this event seeks to bring together experts from diverse disciplines to address this collective need.

Call for Papers: We invite original and insightful research papers from diverse disciplines ranging from environmental science, economics, computer science and applications, GIS & remote sensing to anthropology, sociology, political science, history, media & communication studies, disaster studies, and library and information science. Submit your work on topics like community resilience, data governance, disaster-resilient infrastructure, climate data ecosystems, crisis response and management, public libraries, and community information centres' role, controlling propaganda, fake news, disinformation, combating online harm, and frontier technologies like AI and ML for societal well-being.
