CfPs: ISID-ICSSR National Conference Towards Industrial Transformation of India: Opportunities and Policy Lessons for Building a Competitive Manufacturing Sector

I am writing this to draw your attention to the recent CALL FOR PAPERS, issued by ISID for the National Conference Towards Industrial Transformation of India: Opportunities and Policy Lessons for Building a Competitive Manufacturing Sector to Realize the 2047 Vision organized in collaboration with ICSSR on 4th to 6th October 2023 at ISID, New Delhi.

 In view of the requests received from researchers, the submission schedule has been extended. The submission window will remain open till 30th June 2023. The concept note, themes, programme structure, and important dates are available here at the Institute's website.

 The National Conference will cover six broad themes, namely: 

(i) Industrial Strategy in the changed global context; 

(ii) Foreign Direct Investment and India's integration with GVCs; 

(iii) Enhancing the role of MSMEs and Start-ups in Industrial Transformation; 

(iv) Geography of Industrialization and balanced regional development; 

(v) Innovative activity and leveraging Industry 4.0 for competitiveness; and 

(vi) Sustainability and Green Industrialisation. 

The National Conference would combine keynote addresses by senior experts to set the agenda, competitive presentations, and policy roundtables. Policy Roundtables would involve senior researchers, policymakers, and industry experts for drawing policy lessons based on insights and analysis. Travel grants are available for select young researchers. A selection of papers will be published by ISID through reputed publishers.
