The two Koreas united around the same project at UNESCO

Traditional Korean wrestling ssirum/ssireum has just been listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage, on the basis of a joint application by North Korea and South Korea. An unprecedented event!

Revered and practised throughout the Korean peninsula, this sport has a centuries-old history.

Read our article on this occasion and discover also the many facets of Korean culture in "Korea: Land of the Morning Calm", an exceptional Courier issue published in 1978.
