Call for Proposals
Proposals are invited from scholars to the second interdisciplinary conference on Contemporary India on Instruments of Intervention: Capitalist Development and the Remolding of the Indian State to be held on 10-12 December 2015 at Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK). An 800-1000 word proposal with contact e-mail address, one-page CV outlining recent publications and other scholarly activities may please be sent to Sanchari Guha (guha.sanchari@gmail.com) by 20 July 2015. The proposal must clearly identify the research question, its relevance to theorizing the Indian state, methodology to be adopted and expected findings.Authors of selected papers will be informed by 3 August 2015. Full papers will have to be submitted by 30 November 2015. The Concept Note and other details are available on the website www.idsk.edu.in and www.aii.unimelb.edu.au.
