| | Kicking off a busy month, IFLA President Leslie Weir spoke at a session organised by our North America Regional Division Committee at the Ontario Library Association Super Conference in Toronto, as well as sending a greeting to the 9th Annual Congress of Information Science Specialists of Iran. She also visited London, Brussels and The Hague, meeting with key stakeholders around WLIC 2027, the European Commission, and IFLA members in the EU institutions, as well as speaking at the annual Science|Business Conference.
Finally, in 2027, IFLA will celebrate its 100th anniversary. To mark this milestone, we're launching a competition to create a commemorative logo that will be used throughout the IFLA100 campaign. |

Led by the Senegalese Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (ASBAD), Open Biblio Lab (OBL) transformed three libraries into open-data and civic hubs. By training 30 librarians and engaging 600 young people, the initiative sparked dialogue, informed advocacy, and repositioned libraries as strategic partners in transparent local governance across Senegal. |
