Indian Manuscripts: Some questions, Some observations
May 20 Manuscripts illustrate multiple aspects of a nation's identity - its history, thought, imagination and not least its will to preserve these things for posterity. This talk by B.N. Goswamy, a prominent art historian, art critic, and scholar of manuscript culture will discuss Indian Manuscripts and the process of working with them.
The talk is being organised by UChicago Professors Thibaut d'Hubert, Associate Professor, South Asian Languages and Civilizations and Tyler Willliams, Assistant Professor, South Asian Languages and Civilizations.
