Symposium on Sustainability Studies
JNU Researchers' Interaction
September 26-27, 2017; Committee Hall, Convention Centre, JNU
The TRCSS and SASH&KN invites research scholars, faculty and students, of all Schools and Centres of JNU to participate in an interaction that focuses on Sustainability and Sustainability Studies. We perceive Sustainability as a societal concern for creating and leaving behind for future generations social, economic and environmental conditions that promote the health and wellbeing of ecosystems and human beings. This is obviously a wide, inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary area that requires transitioning to other kind of developmental path(s) and governance modes than has been dominant world-wide over the past decades. Much research in the university relates to these issues, and we would like researchers to use this platform of the TRCSS to share views and theoretical formulations, research methodologies and findings, innovative policy implications, among other dimensions of Sustainability so as to enrich this field of study and develop a contextualised South Asian version of how to conceptualise and operationalise Sustainability and Pathways to Sustainability.
We invite submission of abstracts by those who would like to present their M.Phil./Ph.D./Faculty research that relates to any dimension of Sustainability Studies, including but not limited to the following:
